What is Draeqetha?
Draeqetha is a private Wrath of the Lich King realm for the 3.3.5a (build 12340) client, running on AzerothCore. It's a PvE realm with Blizzlike 1x rates and a level cap of 80, and it's lived in by about 2,500 playerbots that quest, group up, run dungeons and chat, so the world never feels empty even when few real players are on.
Is it free?
Yes. There is nothing to buy and no shop.
How do I start playing?
Create an account (it works straight away), then sign in on My Account and download the Draeqetha launcher. It installs the game for you (about 17 GB, plus 3.4 GB of optional HD packs), keeps it up to date, and starts it.
Already have a 3.3.5a client? Point the launcher at it, or set Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf to
set realmlist realm.draeqetha.com. The home page has both ways in detail.
Do I need an invite or perk code?
No. Anyone can sign up. A perk code, if someone gives you one, just adds a little something extra to a new account.
Windows says the launcher might be unsafe. Is it?
Windows warns about any program it hasn't seen many times before that isn't signed with a
paid certificate. Choose More info, then Run anyway. To check you got the genuine file, compare
its SHA-256 with the one printed next to the download button on My Account
(Get-FileHash Draeqetha-Setup.exe in PowerShell).
Which client and language should I use?
The 3.3.5a (12340) client. An English (enUS) client is recommended: the bots' chat follows the language of the game clients connected, so a different language can switch their chatter for everyone.
What are the rates?
1x across the board, as on retail: experience from kills, quests and exploration, item and gold drops, reputation, honor and profession skill-ups. Rested experience works as normal.
Can I play both factions? Is there cross-faction play?
You can have Alliance and Horde characters on the same account (up to 10 characters on the realm). The factions are kept apart as on retail: no grouping, guilds, chat or auction house across factions. It's a PvE realm, so world PvP is opt-in.
Who are all these other players?
Most of them are playerbots: computer-controlled characters that level, quest, gather, trade on the auction house and run dungeons on their own. Who's Online marks them as bots rather than passing them off as people, and the Armory lists only real players.
Any bot near your level will join your group if you /invite it, and follows orders typed in party
chat: summon, follow, stay, maintenance, autogear.
The home page explains each one.
Can I run dungeons?
Yes. Queue with the Dungeon Finder and bots fill the empty spots, or invite bots yourself and walk in. If a bot gets left behind or dies, it's brought back to you a few seconds after you enter; that includes running back in after a wipe.
Can I level two of my own characters together?
Yes: .playerbots bot add <name> brings one of your other characters along
under AI control. Its gear, talents and skills stay exactly as you leave them.
How do I make a Death Knight?
As on retail: once one of your characters on Draeqetha reaches level 55, you can create a Death Knight, who starts at level 55 in Acherus. One Death Knight per realm.
What is the weekend bonus?
Play at least an hour between Monday and Friday 6 PM (Mountain Time), on any of your characters, and every character on your account gets double experience from Friday 6 PM until Sunday midnight. Characters already at level 80 get double reputation instead. You'll see a message when you log in while it's active, and My Account shows how close you are during the week.
Does the server restart?
Once a day at 05:00 Mountain Time (Denver), for about a minute, with warnings in game from 04:40. Instances and daily quests reset at 04:00 Mountain Time.
Can the quest log hold more than 25 quests?
No. 25 is a limit of the 3.3.5a game client itself, not a server setting. Abandoning grey (low-level) quests is the usual way to make room.
Why don't I get dismounted in water?
That's how Wrath of the Lich King works: a ground mount swims and you stay on it. Flying mounts are the ones that drop you in water.
What is the Armory? Can I hide my characters?
The Armory shows real players' characters (gear, talents, professions and achievements) and ranks them. To keep yours out of it, sign in on My Account and choose Hide them from the Armory.
Will my account be deleted if I stop playing?
Unused accounts are cleaned up: an account with no characters 14 days after it's created, and any account nobody has logged in to the game with for 60 days, characters included. You're always welcome to register again.
I can't log in after typing my password wrong. Why?
After 5 wrong passwords in a row, logins from your address are paused for 10 minutes. It stops anyone guessing passwords. Wait it out and try again; your password is the one you chose when you registered, and you can check it by signing in on My Account.
I found a bug or need help in game. What do I do?
Open a ticket in game: the ? (help) menu, then Open a Ticket. It reaches the GMs directly, with where you were standing, which helps a lot when something's stuck.
